South Korea launches an anti-dumping investigation into tin-plated steel sheets from China

On July 10, 2026, the Korea Trade Commission issued a public notice (case investigation No. 23-2026-5), stating that, in response to applications submitted on June 19, 2026 by the Korean producers (reference English name: TCC Steel Co., Ltd.) and (reference English name: Sinhwa Dynamics Co., Ltd.), an anti-dumping investigation would be initiated into tin mill products originating in China. The dumping investigation period is from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2025. The product under investigation is flat-rolled products produced from hot-rolled coils of iron and carbon steel as raw materials through a cold-rolling process to make black plate (Black Plate), and then electroplated with tin (Tin) on its surface, or electroplated with chromium (Chromium) and chromium oxide (Chromium Oxide). The relevant Korean customs tariff codes are 7210.11.0000, 7210.12.0000, 7210.50.0000, 7212.10.1000, 7212.10.2000, and 7212.50.9000. Unless otherwise extended (for up to two months), the preliminary determination is expected to be made within three months from the date of filing.
