This short position profit finally got realized: $ETH was pushed down from 2111.63, and the current price is 1880.65; the unrealized PnL has already reached +1901.92%. A lot of people were still watching for a rebound to continue, but at the time I was focused on the second attempt failing after the pressure at the high—the structure would already be off if that level couldn’t break through with volume.

What really made me pull the trigger was the lack of strength on the pullback. The buy-side looked lively, but the price couldn’t get pushed up. In plain terms, it’s someone slowly distributing at the high. After entering the short, I didn’t exit right away—I was waiting for this stretch of volatility range to open up.

Now the profit release is pretty comfortable. If your position is heavy, you can handle some of it with an 80/20 approach first, and keep the rest with a protective level while watching for further extension—don’t let the gains retrace too much. If you haven’t gotten in, don’t be shaken by the current bearish candles; chasing in can easily get you washed out by the ensuing bounce. Don’t chase—wait until the next more comfortable entry point.
