U.S. Commerce Department Official: Chip and AI Regulatory Measures Coming Soon

On July 15, Jeffrey Kessler, an official responsible for export controls at the U.S. Department of Commerce, stated during a hearing that regulatory measures for chips and AI are imminent. Kessler noted that the Trump administration does not intend to replace the AI chip export restriction rules established by the Biden administration.
