CoinDesk News: On March 3, Lin Junyang, the technical leader of the Ali Qwen team, officially submitted his resignation to Alibaba, and early on March 4 he posted on social media saying, “I will resign and say goodbye to my beloved Qwen.” That same day, Kaixin Li, a member of the Qwen team, also announced his departure. Tang Jie, founder of Zhipu AI, responded to Lin Junyang on social media, saying, “So cool—starting a new journey.” In addition, multiple insiders said that Hui Bin, the former Alibaba Tongyi Qwen code leader, has joined a domestic internet tech giant, serving as the head of AI coding algorithms; the specific company has not yet been disclosed. Hui Bin left Alibaba in January 2026 and was previously reported to have joined Meta.
