Golden Finance reported that on July 15, in a trade secret lawsuit filed against Apple, OpenAI said the company “has found no evidence indicating that the allegations are substantiated,” and emphasized respect for fair competition, supporting the free flow of talent, while it currently focuses on independently developing innovative technologies. Apple previously sued, alleging that OpenAI, in order to build AI hardware products, allegedly used former Apple employees to obtain the company’s trade secrets, and accused OpenAI’s hardware team of inducing applicants to bring internal Apple materials and helping them bypass the company’s security review. A former iPhone engineer who left this year to join OpenAI was also accused of illegally obtaining internal documents such as engineering presentation decks. Apple said that OpenAI’s hardware team “is built on an unsteady foundation,” and even that it “is already rotten at the root.”
