CoinDesk reported that on July 15, Tuesday, ahead of a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zeidi, US President Donald Trump told reporters that the US will reach many deals with Iraq and will extract large amounts of oil from the country. “Iraq has enormous potential, thanks to its oil resources… we will reach many agreements. This will create a large number of jobs for both countries, while we will extract a large amount of oil from this country,” Trump said, but did not disclose any specific details. “Large amounts of oil are being extracted—and it is being done by US companies—now mainly by US companies.”
