The U.S. and the U.K. have jointly released a roadmap aimed squarely at unifying tokenization regulation across the world’s largest financial market. The two biggest financial hubs are working to pave the way for tokenized assets, and regulatory friction has long been the main barrier for institutions to enter.
The message itself isn’t complicated, but the signal is clear: tokenization is moving from fringe experiments toward mainstream infrastructure. The two countries emphasize reducing friction and strengthening cooperation; in the future, the compliance costs for cross-border tokenized assets may drop significantly, which would be a structural positive for the RWA and stablecoin ecosystems.
