7.14 has rebounded, but the reversal hasn’t been confirmed yet!
The market is still moving along with South Korea’s side. [TaoGuba]
You could actually tell in the morning that Dongshan, M-ind, XinYiSheng, and Shengyi Technology had big money taking positions.
I mentioned this signal during the midday session as well.
When South Korea rolled out rescue-and-stabilization measures at midday, the quant funds surged in during the afternoon.
Because I didn’t get there first, I wasn’t really inclined to hold it in the afternoon.
Tonight, Changfei Optics’ fiber-longfly optical fiber, Dongshan Precision, and DeMingLi all released results.
From the most recent earnings releases, it’s still only AI driving growth. Old Deng’s growth just isn’t good enough.
Now, earnings at high levels don’t matter as much.
Are Dongshan’s earnings really that high? Is Changfei Optics really that bad? Right now, the main thing is that they’re positioning fiber optics as a cyclical stock. For the portion of money going into expanding production of optical rods, investors think the threshold is too low and the valuation isn’t good anymore.
Likewise, DeMingLi’s Q2 results are even worse than Q1. The market will probably think the “storage module hoarding and price-increase” logic is no longer working, and even that the previously hoarded inventory has already been sold out. This counts as a negative catalyst—so it could be that tomorrow people use their feet to vote.
ZhaoYi Innovation is the original manufacturer, but once ChangXin is listed, in the short term, will funds still look at other storage stocks?
Today, PCB was mainly about some earnings related to CCL.
The price-rising names—Shengyi Technology, Jinan, and NanYa—lifted MLCC players like Fenghua High-Tech and capacitors like JiangHai. This also included electronic cloth and copper foil, and so on.
Until the “storage price-increase logic” is fully broken out of, you should keep a skeptical attitude.
Today, funds chose to rally overseas-linked chains rather than follow the domestic direction on momentum. This indicates it’s still a rebound.
The core of the rebound is still Dongshan—their ceiling determines the ceiling of the overseas-linked chain.
From the 1st until now, the strongest “all-the-way-through” stock hasn’t fallen. The ones that fell earliest and fell the most bounced back the hardest today.
A direct reversal is almost impossible. But the bottoming process should be more or less in place.
If you didn’t buy tech today, you also shouldn’t go buy tomorrow—if you buy the wrong one, it can easily turn into another 10-plus percentage point move.
At the moment, some of the more core names look like this:
For domestic core positions: Ziguang and Inspur. For high-level packaging and testing: Huatian Technology, Changdian Technology, and TongFu Microelectronics. Also, these GPU names like Muxi and Cambricon.
For overseas core: Dongshan, XinYiSheng, Zhongji, Yuanjie, Changguang (this one has fewer institutions), and Shengyi HuDian—these still need to be weighed.
I’m waiting for the wind to rise—straight up to nine myriad miles
