Summer Chaos: There are three traditional novels that Professor Luo Yuming values most. In examining and demonstrating human nature, they are the richest and deepest; therefore, he wrote the prose collection You Jin Meng.

Journey to the West, The Plum in the Golden Vase, and Dream of the Red Chamber respectively represent games and fantasy, money and desire, and love’s dream—together composing the Chinese people’s life symphony.
Each one provides deeper insight and understanding into how people survive in this world.
As in Dream of the Red Chamber, Cao Xueqin, amid his confusion after losing his way in life, used the sounds, faces, and bearing of the beautiful women he once recalled as his final solace in life. His love was never fulfilled, yet it turned into eternity within the fictional space of the written text.
