Previously, when I did this kind of $SOL long position, the most common mistake I’d make was this: once I had a little floating profit, I’d rush to close. After closing, I’d watch it keep running, then my emotions would kick in and I’d chase it back. In the end, even a good trade could turn into a bad one.

This time, I bought from 74.15 to 75.35. The floating profit shows +153.05%. There were moments in the middle when I also thought about locking in gains. But I kept reminding myself: don’t completely lose your rhythm just because you’re afraid of giving profits back, and don’t get carried away just because you’re making money.

In short-term futures, bottom line: profiting doesn’t rely on being perfectly right every time—it relies on doing fewer actions that make you regret. Knowing when you should take and when you should close matters far more than simply guessing the direction.

This trade is a reminder to myself: after you’re profitable, you have to hold back your urge even more.
