Full-time speculators often run into the same problem: overtrading.

My family trades A-shares. On July 2, they told me to fully exit, saying the rest of July would be hard to trade. They advised me that since the market outlook wasn’t good, I should rest more—but I didn’t. I still ended up pulling back quite a bit.

When I looked at how he was trading A-shares, it turned out he hadn’t rested either. He carried out frantic “jungling” operations in a trashy market for a while, but his net value didn’t grow much.

For ordinary people, the easiest kind of market to trade is still a one-way uptrend.
