Deep Tide TechFlow message: On July 14, Reuters reported that Malaysia’s Ministry of Home Affairs said it is investigating a “network school” technology cooperative founded by former Coinbase Chief Technology Officer Balaji Srinivasan. The project is located in Forest City, Johor. Previously, social media accused that the cooperative had hosted Israeli individuals who entered the country using non-Israeli passports.
The Malaysian side will focus on verifying the identities and nationalities of the relevant individuals, the legality of their travel documents, and the purpose of entry, and will also review whether the project complies with local regulations in areas such as permits, building use, and business activities.
