⚡️ Friends, Base’s ecosystem has produced another interesting project: it just raised $7.5 million.

@KorProtocol It’s building a Creative IP Clearing Center. It sounds a bit abstract, but it’s really about solving a problem everyone finds troublesome: in the AI era, for creative content, how to establish rights, how to trade, and how to distribute the proceeds.
Music, video, art—these were already messy in terms of copyright before. With AI, it only gets worse. Why does something you generate count as yours? If it’s sold, how do you split the money with everyone who contributed? And where do labels/brand owners find reliable materials?
KOR’s solution breaks down into three steps:
First, Verify: register works on-chain. In other words, give each IP a digital ID, with ownership and authorization terms fully fixed on the chain.
Second, Route: use AI to match—help creators find the right buyers, and help brands find the materials they need.
Third, Settle: once a transaction happens, smart contracts automatically split the funds by proportion. USDC is sent directly to each party’s wallet, with no need to go through a long settlement process.
On one side, creators list their IP; on the other, labels/brands come to purchase—this is a typical two-sided market. The platform charges a service fee from each successfully matched transaction. The more assets and the more active the trading, the more the revenue keeps rolling in.
There are already a number of real products live above, such as KORUS, where music artists can enable remix and keep earning royalties, and a model where creators open their own Hub to monetize their communities—data looks pretty good too, with $285k+ and NFT, generating over $285k in revenue.
This round is led by 1kx and Blockchain Capital, with participation from Animoca Brands, Republic, Solana, Avalanche, and others—the lineup is quite strong.
