Sometimes shorting is even more demanding on patience than going long—especially something like $ESPORTS , which looks fairly solid at first. In reality, once it’s pushed down, the market just turns into a thin-volume range. A lot of people see a rebound and want to chase; I’d rather take another look to see whether there’s anyone who can actually absorb it.

From the trade’s opening price of 0.02772 to the current price of 0.01404, the return rate is currently +974.54%. The market has given feedback, but the process has been anything but smooth—there was a long stretch of sideways movement in the middle, and while holding the short, you start to wonder whether you were too early.

I didn’t rush to add, and I didn’t randomly cut losses just because of one or two quick pullbacks. Short-term contracts are most likely to lose right here: the direction might still be correct, but you get shaken by the price action first. Chasing it back and forth just makes you lose your timing.

Now that the profit is already locked in, I’d rather bring the key levels down using an 80/20 approach, and let the rest run on its own. My thinking is simple: if I can eat a portion of the move from the downside, that’s enough—don’t turn a winning trade into an emotional one.
