The new regulations also stipulate that, in qualifying crypto asset borrowing arrangements, the borrowed assets are calculated based on their market value at the time of borrowing, and returning the same class of assets at the same value is considered a disposal; collateral provided by the borrower will not be included in the calculation of capital gains tax. The measure will take effect on April 6, 2027, and is expected to affect about 700k people.
