Abstract generation in progress
According to Beating monitoring, OpenClaw released on 2026.7.1 to add native chat and session management to existing macOS clients. Previously, the Mac App mainly handled menu bar control, voice input, permissions management, and Gateway configuration; this time, it fills in a more complete desktop chat experience. Users can now search historical sessions within the Mac App, switch models and inference strength, use slash commands, export chat logs, and view context usage. Newly installed OpenClaw will default to GPT-5.6, but it will not overwrite model configurations already saved by existing users. The release also adds support for models including Claude Sonnet 5, Mythos 5, and Meta Muse Spark 1.1. iOS and Android also added offline session caching. After a user goes offline, they can still view their most recent chat records, and Apple Watch can directly accept voice questions and read out the answers.
