After DeepSeek’s latest round of financing, Liang Wenfeng’s net worth surpassed Anthropic’s Dario and OpenAI’s Brockman.
Odaily Planet Daily reported: According to reports from overseas media, after DeepSeek completed its latest round of financing, founder Liang Wenfeng’s personal wealth grew by more than double, making him the AI large-model founder with the highest net worth in the world. According to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, Liang Wenfeng’s current net worth is $36 billion (previously about $16.7 billion), exceeding Anthropic co-founder Dario Amodei and OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman. This comparison only covers companies whose main business is included and whose majority of revenue comes directly from AI large models; it does not include diversified large technology groups such as Alibaba and Tencent, nor does it include companies related to the AI industry chain such as data centers and semiconductors. Most of Liang Wenfeng’s wealth comes from his controlling stake in DeepSeek.
This June, DeepSeek reportedly completed financing totaling RMB 50 billion, with a company valuation of over RMB 330 billion, and Liang Wenfeng personally contributed RMB 20 billion. Based on calculations from Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, his shareholding was diluted to about 78%. (Jin Ten)
