Lubin, this sounds like making promises, but low Gas fees really can attract new users—I’ll trust half for now.

Wu Shuo learned that Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin said Ethereum L1 fees should be kept low to drive ecosystem growth. He expects that in the next 2 to 3 years, tens of thousands of companies will deploy on Ethereum L1, L2, and permissioned EVM networks, and achieve cross-layer interoperability. Lubin believes large-scale adoption will increase ETH’s monetary premium and Ethereum’s total L1 fee revenue. At the same time, staking and other locking mechanisms will reduce circulating supply; if ETH returns to a net-burn state, its value could rise further.
