China Iron and Steel Association: It focuses on tracking steel inventories at steel companies totaling 16.28 million tons, down by 1.62 million tons compared with the previous ten-day period.

In the latter part of June 2026, key steel enterprises (hereinafter referred to as “key enterprises”) recorded steel inventory of 16.28 million tons, down 1.62 million tons from the previous ten-day period, a decrease of 9.1%. It was up 2.14 million tons from the beginning of the year, an increase of 15.1%; it was up 0.45 million tons from the same ten-day period last month, an increase of 2.8%; it was up 0.83 million tons from the same ten-day period last year, an increase of 5.4%. Compared with the same ten-day period two years earlier, it was up 1.59 million tons, an increase of 10.8%. In the latter part of June, among the six regions, except for the Northwest where key enterprises’ steel inventory increased from the previous ten-day period, all other regions saw declines to varying degrees.
