CICC Wealth Futures: The lithium carbonate market has shifted, to a certain extent, toward the demand side

The lithium carbonate market has, to a certain extent, shifted toward the demand side, with bullish and bearish factors interweaving in the short term. The main bearish factors stem from weak demand: early July’s new energy vehicle sales data was disappointing, and downstream buyers show strong procurement interest only at absolute low price levels, which puts pressure on the price ceiling. The main bullish support comes from supply-side contraction and rigid costs. Lithium carbonate is holding a sideways-to-range-bound trading pattern, awaiting further guidance. (CITIC Wealth Futures)
