After this drop in $VELVET , I guess a lot of people’s first reaction is regret that they didn’t short earlier. I’ve had that kind of FOMO anxiety too, so this time I’m reminding myself even more: when your position feels uncomfortable, don’t force the chase.

The first part of this trade was moving around 1.66025; the current price has now reached 0.59533, showing +635.96%. It looks like just a move from the entry price to the current price, but what’s really hard is the waiting period before the selloff—price keeps tugging back and forth on the screen, and it’s easy to start doubting whether you misread it.

I wasn’t thinking about taking the whole move in one go. I just felt the pressure at the high was too obvious, so I followed my own pace. If I’d been scared out by a rebound in the middle, then there wouldn’t be this later result.

After making money, it’s still the same old line: don’t let the numbers float you away. If you’re short and it hits for profit, first take control of the initiative—then look for opportunities later. If there aren’t any, don’t move.
