Crypto界网 news, Wu Shuo learned that Bitcoin mining pool Ocean announced it will upgrade its backend to address potential chain splits caused by BIP 110. If a split occurs, Datum miners will automatically continue mining on the chain recognized by their respective nodes, while Ocean will record and settle the rewards for the corresponding chains separately—effectively operating two mining pools simultaneously from the split point onward. The relevant service terms will be updated before block height 961,632, provided that the split chain continues running and complies with its service terms.

Will BIP 110 really fork for good? It feels more like buying insurance.

The fork chain needs to keep running to take effect—these prerequisites are worded cautiously enough.

Datum miners automatically follow the node, while Ocean records at both ends—technically, it’s quite elegant.

Ocean’s move here is very solid—its fork contingency plans were laid out in advance, and miners have the choice under its control.
