Crypto news flash, according to Reuters, German automotive parts and chip maker Bosch has started sample production at its first U.S. semiconductor plant in Detroit, completing a $225 million agreement signed with the U.S. Department of Commerce to strengthen domestic silicon carbide chip manufacturing. In 2023, Bosch acquired a chip factory in Roseville, California, from TSI Semiconductor and reconfigured it, with total investment of $2 billion, including funding from the Department of Commerce. Bosch plans to invest up to $7.5 billion in the U.S. before 2031 to enhance its operations in the country.
