This long-awaited short finally came true. The drop from the high for $ESPORTS didn’t look like a simple pullback anymore—it had the feel of an active sell-off.

My trade was based on the pressure at the top. After entering around 0.04289, I didn’t rush to exit. What really caught my attention was that the rebound kept getting weaker—the bids couldn’t hold, and many people were still waiting for a second surge, but something here was already off.

Now the price is at 0.01372, and the floating profit is already +1338.21%. The market’s upside potential has been released fairly decisively. Holding the short to this point makes it easy, emotionally, to want to finish the job in one bite—but trading isn’t about acting out. Once profit is there, you have to stay calm.

For my part, I lean toward handling it in an 80/20 staged approach. Mainly, lock in part of the profit first, and then use the remaining smaller position with a protective approach to follow it, so a sudden rebound doesn’t make you give back the gains. Down moves from the high that can be captured like this aren’t about chasing—they come from patiently waiting earlier for the structure to break.

If you didn’t get on board, don’t rush just because you’re seeing a drop. Don’t chase after missing it—wait for the next opportunity, and move only when it’s at a more comfortable level.
