It honestly feels like the economy has stopped working for ordinary people.

Everywhere you look, automation and AI are replacing tasks that once gave people a way to earn a living. We were always told that moving to a bigger city would open more doors, but now it seems like there are several qualified applicants competing for every single opening.
Even when you have valuable skills, finding someone who can actually afford to pay for quality work feels harder than ever. Outside of a handful of professions like healthcare, so many available positions are low-paying service jobs. Plenty of people I know have college degrees, yet they’re working jobs that never required one because nothing else is available.
A bachelor’s degree used to be viewed as a pathway into the middle class. Today, it often feels like an expensive piece of paper while employers offer salaries that are a fraction of what similar positions paid a generation ago.
At what point do we admit something is fundamentally broken?
Stable careers are disappearing, unions have lost much of their influence, and homeownership or raising a family feels out of reach for anyone who isn’t earning an exceptional income or juggling multiple jobs.
Many GenZ in their 20s , have college degree, and yet they can’t help but wonder where everything went off track. When someone can spend two years sending out applications without landing a meaningful opportunity, it’s hard to believe this is a healthy economy. Call it whatever you want, but for millions of people, it certainly doesn’t feel like one.
