Abstract generation in progress
Golden Finance reported that on July 13, according to PYMNTS, AI coding tool company Cursor is developing a general-purpose AI agent internally codenamed Sand. Its features include replying to emails and text messages, organizing spreadsheets, and handling engineering-related tasks, positioning it as an office and enterprise assistant for non-developers. The report said Cursor’s move aims to enrich its product lineup and could support SpaceX’s AI enterprise business. SpaceX previously announced that it would acquire Cursor in an all-stock transaction valued at around US$60 billion, which is expected to close in the third quarter. However, Cursor has not yet made a final decision on whether to launch the agent, and its product roadmap may be affected by the merger and acquisition process.
