2026.07.13 London gold (XAUUSD) buy/sell levels for the US evening session
⚠️Risk warning: The following is for technical scenario analysis only and does not constitute investment advice. Ahead of tomorrow’s major CPI data release, market volatility increases; control position size strictly, and always place a stop-loss with every trade.
Current price: $4,060. The overall late-evening range is weak; funds are waiting for tomorrow’s inflation data. Bias is mainly to sell the rebound from higher levels. Longs are only for trying at key supports with a light position.
1. Late-evening short nodes (main idea for the US session: short on rebound pressure)
1. First short pressure entry (tonight’s core shorting zone)
Entry range: 4080–4092
Stop-loss: above 4106
Target 1: 4048; Target 2: 4030
Logic: The intraday rebound is the turning point + hourly moving average resistance. For tonight, rebound stalls without momentum/volume—only then consider a light short. If price holds above 4105, the short thesis is invalid.
2. Second strong-resistance backup short (for big rebound repair)
Entry range: 4105–4118
Stop-loss: above 4132
Target: 4080 → 4050
Logic: The strong intraday breakdown-gap pressure zone is very rarely reached; set up only after a large rebound. If there is a volume breakout above 4120, abandon all shorts.
2. Late-evening long nodes (only key-support stabilization for light, quick longs; fast in, fast out)
1. Short-term support long (steady dip-buy zone)
Entry range: 4042–4050
Stop-loss: below 4028
Targets: 4078–4088
Logic: Intraday lows provide short-term pullback support. If pullbacks form long lower wicks and trading volume shrinks, and then stabilizes, consider going long. If it breaks below 4040, immediately give up the long positions.
2. Strong-support defense long (deep-dip bottom fishing)
Entry range: 4020–4028
Stop-loss: below 4005
Targets: 4055 → 4080
Logic: A key weekly support area. If price breaks and effectively holds below 4020, downside opens toward around 3990. No heavy position bottom fishing.
3. US evening trading rules and key reminders
1. In the neutral consolidation zone 4050–4080, do not chase trades. It’s easy to get swept both ways—only wait for entries near the top/bottom edges of the range.
2. Strength/weakness pivot: If price holds above 4105, it repairs bullishness in the short term; if it breaks below 4040, the trend turns bearish—short all rebounds following the trend.
3. Fundamental focus: Tomorrow evening’s US CPI inflation data. Tonight’s market sentiment is cautious, and volatility increases in the latter half of the US session. It’s not recommended to hold positions overnight.
4. Hard risk control: Loss per trade must not exceed 1% of the account. Do not add to a floating loss. When reaching take-profit, scale out in batches. After securing a profit of 25 points, move the stop-loss to break even.
