Golden Finance reported on July 13 that, according to Iranian TV, Iran said that due to the U.S. military’s violation of the memorandum of understanding, the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. The purpose of closing the Strait of Hormuz is to, in accordance with the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, establish Iran’s sovereignty over the strait.
