Codex’s reset is a single master move,

By rolling out a reset bank, you—you who were originally going to cancel your subscription—choose to downgrade or keep your subscription, just to use up all the reset.
You were only a $20 member to start with. To “squeeze” reset rewards—like plucking the wool from the reset—you gritted your teeth and upgraded to a $100 or $200 membership, and even felt like you’d gotten a bargain.
In the end, OpenAI announced that membership retention had surged, that the number of upgrades had skyrocketed, and that the earnings report came in hot, page after page—aiming for an IPO, while the money came in fast and furious.
