Korean AI gets a splash of cold water from Critini analyst: startup companies and university research have both been seriously overestimated

According to Beating “Insight” monitoring, Critini Research analyst Jukan posted after attending ICML, saying that South Korea is only “pretending to seriously develop AI.” South Korean AI startups and university research have been heavily overestimated, and compared with China, they are “almost nothing.” He suggested that South Korea introduce a talent policy similar to China’s “thousand-talents plan” to attract overseas ethnic Korean researchers back home and proactively recruit foreign top talent. Otherwise, South Korea may end up becoming a country that relies on foreign AI technology.
