US Regulation|Cryptocurrency Is Moving from a “Grey Zone” to Mainstream Finance

Recently, the United States has accelerated efforts to regulate digital assets, with stablecoin-related rules continuing to be refined, while the market also keeps a close watch on the progress of bills such as the CLARITY Act. More and more policies are beginning to define which assets are securities and which are commodities, with the aim of establishing a clearer regulatory framework.

Many people see “regulation” and assume it’s a negative; but for large institutions, what they truly need is clear rules of the game. The clearer the regulations, the more willing retirement funds, banks, and asset management firms will be to invest in the crypto market.

In the short term, policy updates may increase market volatility; but in the long run, as regulation matures, it will actually be an important milestone for industry development. What will truly drive the market in the future will not just be prices, but whether more mainstream capital is willing to keep entering the space.
