Haitong Futures: The repeated US-Iran conflict has caused a renewed rebound in recent butadiene prices

With the Iran-US conflict recurring, it has led to a renewed rebound in recent butadiene prices, along with the restart of some downstream demand. Butadiene prices are expected to still have rebound momentum, while cost-side drag on butadiene rubber (SBR) is easing. In the near term, changes in butadiene rubber plant operations are limited; production profits have improved significantly, boosting upstream utilization. Supply on a month-over-month basis may continue to rise. Downstream tire operating rates will also rebound after earlier maintenance concludes. (Haitong Futures)
