After years of trading, I’ve come to understand that true happiness isn’t the wild joy of an account making a new high in a single moment—it’s the calm and ease you attain after going through the grind of time. It’s the steadiness and composure you have once you’ve built your own trading system. You know that as long as you keep doing the right things (following your system), good results (profit) will come naturally. You no longer obsess over the gains or losses of every trade; instead, you focus on getting the process right. When your attention shifts from “money” to “doing the right things,” anxiety disappears, replaced by the joy of creation and an inner peace.

Trading is like a journey without a destination. What matters isn’t where you end up, but what scenery you see along the way and what kind of person you become. Those flowing candlestick charts ultimately become an external reflection of your inner world. When your mind is tranquil, spacious, and carefree, what you see isn’t just price going up or down—it’s the rhythm and cadence of life itself. In that moment, you realize that your trading has long stopped being about money, and has become about your life.
