Robinhood founder’s seed phrase live-stream leak: hackers used it to hype a Meme coin; after $1, the address has been frozen

BlockBeats message, July 13: Michael, Chief Business Officer of Token Pocket, said in a post that the mnemonic phrase of Robinhood’s founder was leaked during his livestream. After the hacker obtained control permissions for the address, they used that address and associated addresses to massively buy Meme coins worth $1, drawing thousands of investors to rush in and quickly pushing the token’s market cap from about $500,000 to $14 million in a short time.

Subsequently, the price of the $1 token fell sharply; within just two hours, trading volume reached about $20 million. After the related addresses were frozen, the hacker quickly moved to BNB Chain (BSC), used that address and its associated addresses to issue new tokens, and created trading momentum through tactics such as self-buying and self-selling, ultimately carrying out a sell-off to cash out.

Robinhood’s RPC has frozen the address, and nodes do not allow transactions sent from the address to be packaged, so transfers and trading are impossible.
