Mars Finance news: An independent home miner used a Public Pool to mine a Bitcoin block 957382 with a handheld Bitaxe device, earning the full 3.1382 BTC block reward, including 3.125 BTC in block subsidy and about 0.0132 BTC in transaction fees; at the time it was worth about $200k. The device’s average hashrate was 995.2 GH/s, and after running for about 8 hours it submitted the winning share. Bitaxe is an open-source single-chip Bitcoin mining machine based on the Bitmain BM1370 chip. The Gamma series’ default hashrate is about 1 to 1.3 TH/s, power consumption is 15 to 21 watts, and the typical retail price is 60 to 150 USD.
