According to CoinPost, Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takase said in her opening remarks video at the opening ceremony of WebX 2026 that the government will continue to strengthen support for start-up and entrepreneurial companies. She also introduced the “Comprehensive Support Scheme for Start-up and Entrepreneurial Companies” launched in May 2025, including measures such as expanding contributions from government funds and financial institutions, and easing regulation, to accelerate companies’ scaling. She said that government policies and the WebX platform are expected to create synergies, driving the development of Japan’s Web3 innovation ecosystem.
