Odaily Planet Daily, on July 9 at around 03:30, an independent home miner mined Bitcoin block 957382 using a Public Pool with a handheld Bitaxe device, earning the full block reward of 3.1382 BTC, including 3.125 BTC in block subsidy and about 0.0132 BTC in transaction fees; at the time, it was worth about $200k. The device’s average hashrate was 995.2 GH/s. After running for about 8 hours, it submitted the winning share. Bitaxe is an open-source single-chip Bitcoin mining machine based on the Bitmain BM1370 chip. The Gamma series has a default hashrate of about 1.0 to 1.3 TH/s, power consumption of 15 to 21 watts, and is typically sold for $60 to $150. (Bitcoin.com News).
