Deep Tide TechFlow message: On July 13, according to CoinPost, Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takachiya delivered a video address at the opening ceremony of WebX 2026, reiterating the government’s policy of promoting Web3 for real-world social implementation. Prime Minister Takachiya introduced the “Startup Total Support Package” issued in May 2025, saying the plan further strengthens the “Five-Year Plan for Nurturing Startups,” with the aim of expanding funding supply from the government and financial institutions to startups and accelerating companies’ scaled development.

Prime Minister Takachiya said WebX, as Asia’s largest-level Web3 summit bringing together about 15,000 people worldwide, is an important platform for all parties to discuss the future of society and industries on an equal footing and to promote business cooperation. He looks forward to a synergistic effect between the government’s policy measures and the WebX platform, driving the continuous development of Japan’s innovation ecosystem.
