Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, July 8—The reporter learned on the 8th from the National Development and Reform Commission that the National Development and Reform Commission urgently arranged $50 million in central budgetary investment to support Hubei Province in handling emergency recovery from disasters such as storms, hailstorms, and other hazards, with priority given to emergency recovery and construction of public service facilities in disaster areas, such as damaged roads and schools, to help restore normal production and daily life as soon as possible.

Since July 6, multiple areas in Hubei Province have been hit by heavy rainfall and thunderstorm winds, and local tornadoes have occurred, causing casualties and property damage.
