Gome Electrical Appliances’ two subsidiaries file for bankruptcy liquidation, involving total creditor claims of about 110 million yuan

Gome Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. has issued an announcement regarding the bankruptcy of certain important subsidiaries and the latest developments. According to the announcement, Guangzhou Gome Trading Co., Ltd. was unable to repay RMB 353.756 million and the interest owed to Huizhou CooYou Network Technology Co., Ltd.; on January 13, 2026, the Guangzhou Intermediate People’s Court accepted the bankruptcy liquidation application. Xi’an Gome Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. was also unable to repay RMB 108.0 million and the interest owed to Qishang Bank Co., Ltd., Xi’an Branch; following a second-instance ruling by the Shaanxi Provincial Higher People’s Court, on April 20, 2026, the Xi’an Intermediate People’s Court accepted the bankruptcy liquidation application. The announcement shows that Gome Electrical Appliances has a claim of RMB 105.0 million against Guangzhou Gome and a claim of RMB 51.781 million against Xi’an Gome. The first creditors’ meeting of Guangzhou Gome was held on March 2, 2026; however, Gome Electrical Appliances did not file a claim because Guangzhou Gome had no assets that could be enforced. As of the date of the announcement, Xi’an Gome has not yet designated a bankruptcy administrator, and Gome Electrical Appliances has also not filed a claim.
