The 2026 national summer cultural and tourism consumption season kicks off

On July 8, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched the 2026 National Summer Culture and Tourism Consumption Season in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province.

During the Consumption Season, regions will focus on hot topics and demands such as summer relief and cool-weather getaways, coastal holidays, the night-time economy, cruise and yacht travel, family-friendly leisure, study tours, intangible cultural heritage food, and museum visits. They will increase the supply of high-quality culture and tourism products, hold more than 30k culture and tourism consumption activities, and provide consumption vouchers and other consumption subsidies totaling over 450 million yuan, helping residents and visitors enjoy their summer and savor a wonderful journey.

The Consumption Season runs from early July through the end of August. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in coordination with relevant institutions, will roll out a range of public-benefit measures during the period, covering areas such as sightseeing, summer cooling, travel, and watching events.
