I was genuinely shocked by the news that Haluk Levent was taken into custody. Since the very first days of AHBAP, the thing I’ve always been puzzled by is that, especially for a famous person to assume such “uncompensated” responsibility for the public—it's always struck me as strange, but still I didn’t think the worst. So when I heard about the arrest, I was surprised.

Also, in Turkey, it seems like no good deed goes unpunished—could it be that someone has stepped on someone’s toes and they’re putting pressure like this? I couldn’t quite tell. I trust our justice; I hope that, in the short term, a detailed briefing will be provided to the public, because the complainant is the public, and what needs to be done is to provide an explanation. After all, “under the name of ‘help,’” it was collected from us.
