U.S. President Donald Trump said the Strait of Hormuz remains open to commercial traffic.
However, continued U.S.–Iran attacks are raising safety concerns along one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes.
Trump made the comments during an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press.
