Kung Fu Women’s Football: My Post-Match Thoughts on Watching It:

At the beginning, I was momentarily stunned.
I felt the pacing was loose, the lines were jumping around,
and even muttered to myself in secret—does it not match today’s tastes?
Only after I heard the children in the cinema laughing without stopping,
with kids running around and making a ruckus all over the theater, did I suddenly understand—
this movie was never made for the jaded adults of the present, but dedicated to that childhood in every adult’s heart, the one that still believes in wild imagination and dares to dream freely.
Judging purely by film technique, it may not score high.
But this is the world written by Stephen Chow—absurd, full of adrenaline, and wrapped in childish romance.
He hasn’t changed; we’ve just grown up!
With the changing warmth and coolness of human affairs, our eyes are no longer clear, and we can no longer see the simple and sincere feelings anymore!
