A few days ago, I heard that a studio (aka a gang) that specifically helps Chinese citizens “prepare” Thai identities was busted. They mainly forged newborn birth registration documents for Chinese families and defrauded them into Thai nationality; or helped people with “backgrounds” obtain Thai visas and passports.

Thailand’s “Uncle Caps” have started, over the past few days, to trace them based on archival records and transfer information—arresting people.
It’s said that many crypto circle brothers and sisters also use this channel, so we’ll probably see lots of news about arrests in the coming days. Since the scope is pretty broad and it’s quite a loss of face, Thai police have been a bit more aggressive with enforcement these days, and I guess a lot of OG “scammers” will be brought out.
The founder of the JuBi exchange that previously caused quite a stir around the city is said to be among them. Today I heard that he may have been detained—no idea if it’s true. Let’s wait for the follow-up.
