Many people think that making money comes from finding some “magic indicator” or insider information. But what has truly kept me consistently profitable has never been luck—it’s a set of trading rules that can be executed over the long term. The market changes every day, but the principles don’t. $ETH
My trading habits are simple: when the broader market pulls back, I prioritize strong coins whose declines are clearly smaller than the market’s. These are often the ones with incoming capital. For short-term trades, I use the 5-day moving average as a reference; for swing positions, I focus on the 20-day moving average. As long as the trend hasn’t turned bad, I patiently hold and don’t easily get shaken out. $EVAA
Also, I never blindly buy the dip during a downtrend. Just because a coin has fallen a lot doesn’t mean it has value. What’s truly worth participating in are the leaders that have already broken into an uptrend and have continued inflows of capital. Trading with the trend is always easier to profit from than trying to guess the bottom or the top.
Risk management is equally important. If, after I buy, within three days it still hasn’t met my expectations—or if it breaks my stop-loss level—I leave without hesitation. The worst thing about trading isn’t the stop-loss; it’s stubbornly holding onto fantasies. Protect your capital first, and then you have the right to wait for the next opportunity.
One more thing that many people easily overlook: **being in cash is also part of trading.** When I’m not sure, I’d rather wait than trade just to trade. For long-term stable profitability, it’s not about the number of times you enter—it’s about the quality of each entry. Building your own trading system and sticking to it matters more than learning yet more techniques.
