Crypto.com News: The Joint Maritime Information Center said that although Iran claims the Strait of Hormuz is closed, the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz located off the coast of Oman remains open for two-way traffic. The center’s notice said the US military is ready to uphold freedom of navigation and legitimate commercial activities in accordance with international law, and that the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz is still open. However, the agency also noted that the security threat level in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters remains at a “severe” level.
