US Policy | Is Clearer Regulation Better for the Crypto Market?

One of the biggest problems in the crypto market over the past few years has been that regulatory rules have not been clear enough. Many major institutions, despite being optimistic about the future of blockchain, have chosen to wait and see because the laws are unclear.

Now, the U.S. government and Congress are gradually advancing digital-asset-related bills, and the market is starting to expect the establishment of a more complete regulatory framework. Although policy headlines may still cause volatility in the short term, in the long run, clear rules can actually help increase market trust and attract more institutional capital into the space.

What the crypto market truly needs is not just new price highs, but a more mature and transparent financial environment. As the system continues to improve, the entire industry will have the opportunity to achieve more stable growth.

Regulatory clarity is indeed a prerequisite for institutional entry, but the fear is that the legislative process could be hijacked by lobbying from traditional finance, ultimately turning into a strangulation of DeFi.

Short-term fluctuations are inevitable, but judging from the moves by BlackRock and other industry giants, once a compliant regulatory framework is in place, the speed at which capital inflows enter the market will be much faster than people expect. Over the long term, this is a positive development.
