Mars Finance News: On the 11th, the UK Ministry of Defence launched a plan to build an artificial intelligence combat laboratory. Leveraging long-term defense contracts, it will comprehensively upgrade the army training system, and use intelligent technologies to reshape exercise modes to address continuously evolving modern battlefield risks. The project is planned to invest £2 billion (about RMB 18.2 billion yuan). A consortium made up of multiple domestic defense companies will jointly undertake the R&D and operations and maintenance work. It will also coordinate with many local upstream and downstream supporting manufacturers, driving the development of the defense industry while stabilizing and supporting a batch of local technical jobs. At the same time, it will also roll out a youth technical apprenticeship program and open up a technical employment pathway for retired veterans. (China News Service)
