$BTC 7.12 Crypto market rapid report
BTC current price $63,850, a slight dip of 0.4%. During the day it hit a high near the 64,100 level and faced pressure there before falling back. ETH stays range-bound around $1,800. Most major altcoins are broadly down. In the past 24 hours, total liquidations across the entire network exceeded $100 million. Short positions slightly covered, and overall market sentiment remains cautious and watchful.
Market funds have reached a key turning point: the US BTC spot ETF ended eight consecutive weeks of net outflows. Last week it saw a total net inflow of $197 million. BlackRock’s IBIT has been the main magnet for inflows, and institutions are building positions in batches at lower levels, but retail participation willingness remains weak. The existing supply-demand battle has not yet been fundamentally changed.
A sudden major geopolitical negative shock: Iran announced a temporary shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz, escalating the US-Iran conflict again. Crude oil surged sharply, suppressing global risk appetite, which will likely curb the upside of a crypto rebound in the short term. On the 14th, the US will soon release June CPI data. The market is focused on the inflation figure; if it comes in above expectations, rate-hike expectations may heat up again.
MSTR is moving in a narrow range. The earlier negative impact from selling large amounts of coins to pay interest has been gradually digested, but the pressure from high preferred stock interest payments remains long-term, continuing to limit the upside height of BTC. Technically, resistance lies at 64,800-65,200, with support at 62,500.
Trading approach: mainly range-bound swing trading. Don’t chase after pumps. On rebounds that meet resistance, take a small short position; on pullbacks, trade a short-term long versus support, and strictly set stop-losses. Ahead of the CPI data release, avoid high leverage. Only if price can build volume and hold above 65,500 should you consider that a long continuation is likely.
